idli

I'm forever intrigued by the tiny, seemingly inconsequential, events that set one upon a definitive course one wouldn't have charted otherwise. Let's call them flutters of destiny (since I can't think of an existing term to suit my purpose due to its unavailability, or more likely, my ignorance). Try to remember the first glance from your wife that made you decide that you indeed wanted to wake up (or more factually, sleep) with her for the rest of your life. Ah, that one sealed your fate for good, didn't it? Or the time, while meddling with your dad's favourite watch or transistor, you caught yourself thinking of making a career out of it. Surely, you can relate to these incidents. Then you know what I'm talking about.

Sorta, I end up remembering more of what I did wrong at that moment.

But what does idli have to do with it. Your wife's idli's did you in?
Did you or did you not eat the idli? Come, tell us the truth.

Hmm, a mystery visitor. Intriguing. And who might you be, dear sir or (more optimistically) madam?

In response to your question, idli is a quaint innuendo to being idle, which is what I was while writing this post.
