a rough sketch of the present

Yet another Saturday night spent at the office. Yet another Sunday morning in front of my work computer.

Guys need anchors. Which is lost (and I'm at sea), without Himani here with me (that rhymed, see?). But that can't be so bad. After all I'm still off cigarettes. And I'm still exercising (even though it doesnt's show yet). That should count for something.

Anyway, its nice to discover love all over again when you've been telling yourself that you are too much of a grown-up to feel anything that silly again. Better still, when the object of your affection is your life partner anyway.

Vikas arrives tonight. He gets married on the coming Sunday (26th February) to a girl who shares her name with my wife. So we get him some fine clothes tomorrow. Isn't it amazing how every single element of my life has undergone (or is in the process of) this renovation? And nothing is quite the same as it were a few years ago. Ergo, neither am I.

Ah yes, and while I am at painting this portrait of present, I must mention that I have also fallen in love with the band Rammstein. And hopefully, tomorrow I'd get my new wagon R in shining bright yellow. Am still thinking of a name to give her. How's 'Yellow Submarine'? Hmmm. And what about PYT (Pretty Yellow Thing)? Hmm hmm. Kunal suggested 'Basanti'. Hmm hmm hmm. Well, we'd see what she likes when we ride her, won't we my preccciiiooosss? (Yes, you guessed it, I just read 'The Hobbit').

So this is what the day is like. Guess I won't be *sigh* going to *sigh* The Great Indian Rock this year. (I have to pick Vikas from the airport at 9:20 pm and finish this work that I haven't even started before that.) So I better be going now. It was nice talking to you, dear screen. Fare thee well, till we meet again. splosch. Uggh, too wet. I meant, mwaah.

My car--a black Santro Xing--is called Lady Marmalade, because every time I look at her, I think gitchy-gitchy-ya-ya-ta-ta!
But I think you should go for the Yellow Submarine :)
